My sweet friend who teaches at List Elementary in Frankenmuth sent me this picture of her 2nd graders scanning the riddles as part of their morning work!
And here is the answer this student would have seen on her device!

Our school is so fortunate to have one to one devices for 3rd graders through high schoolers! We are all still learning about the many ways we can use these with younger students. QR codes are definitely a fun and easy way to get started!
Below is a set of riddles I created to use in my elementary schools. I like to have activities like this printed and ready for teachers to try out without any extra work for them! I hang them outside my computer lab and invite teachers to stop by at their convenience.
They are welcome to bring their class down to the lab themselves or I have offered to team teach with them during my planning to help them through this new activity.
Students quickly get the hang of using the QR reader app as they hover the camera window over the QR code. The answer will pop up on their screen in a matter of seconds!
Update: Here are a couple photos of the riddles in action on Valentine's party day!

I've actually included the answer pages in my TPT packet so teachers without handheld devices can still use the riddle set by simply projecting it on a large screen, reading the question page, then sharing the answer on the screen when ready.
Click the packet cover image below to take you to this product in my TPT store!
